CS38 – Climb Trees and Perform Aerial Rescue

Who is the  course designed for:
For those who are Professional Users e.g. those who anticipate seeking contractual work in professional forestry, amenity or utility arboricultural activities and ground works.

Course description
This course is a 3 day course and has been designed for those who require training using rope and harness and Prusik systems.
Training will cover:-
•  legislation
•  risk assessment
•  equipment
•  PPE
•  branch walking

Course Objectives
•  to be aware of legislation and safety guidelines pertaining to tree climbing
•  compliance with the legal requirements for inspection, record keeping, storage and transportation of equipment
•  to identify and establish secure anchor points
•  to be competent in climbing and rescue techniques
•  to be able to use ropes, prusiks and karabiners
•  to be able to perform aerial rescue in a safe and efficient manner
