Farmers, land owners and managers with responsibility for the management of boundaries

Course Objectives
To enable course members to:
Appreciate the function of hedgerows
Recognise the wildlife value of hedgerows
Be aware of the options for, and implications of, different forms of hedgerow management
State the basic techniques involved with the creation and aftercare of hedgerows
Assess hedgerows for landscape and wildlife benefits
Identify sources of financial assistance
Be familiar with the Hedgerow Regulations (1997) and their implications for land management
